Up against Parthia or Pontus they'll do OK, since they have largely identical units, but eastern infantry are simply no match for militia hoplites. They have the cataphract archers Pontus and the Seleucids lack, the heavy infantry that Parthia lacks, and they get imitation legionaires to stomp around with.Įarly game, however, they have a crummy economy, a mediocre position, and some questionable units.
